THE LOUVRE
The Louvre is the world's largest museum, and it is completely jam packed with learning opportunities. The museum has been developed a lot over recent years, and you now come into a huge, open round foyer, where you can buy your tickets from lots of machines, dotted around the space. It would take you several days to visit all the exhibits in the museum, and it's quite hard to find your way around, so it's a good idea to narrow down the areas that you want to visit. We definitely wanted to visit the Mona Lisa, also the rooms with Egyptian exhibits in them, and the Venus de Milo. Leave some time to go and explore the walls of the Medieval Fortress, which was here before the Renaissance palace that became the Louvre was built. This is underground, and you can walk around the ancient foundation walls. FIND OUT MORE |
